The only Liner design that comes to mind, that was of any size was the
I.S.C.V. King Richard, which was a FASA product. the King Richard was a
liner of 5000 Tons, and cost 2.2 BCR. it was also published in 1981. and
I have never seen it rewritten for Megatraveller or TNE. If posting the
Original Stats is allowable, and someone wants them, tell me, or i will
E-mail them.

Greetings all

After my attempt at the Tl13 Pistol in RCEG went bad
(see previous winging post) i sat down with my copy of RCEG and
tryed to work out all the ammo, ( the longer readers may
remember the plea from last year concerning the shotgun round).

After sitting down with a calculator, the following results were
found.

>From the 26 listed firearm ammunition types,
7 were incorect and out by factors of 5% and up.
thses include the

7*26mm-5
This must be a straight round yet has been calced as a neck
round , Ea should be 320J

7*30mm-6
again this should be a straight round with a Ea of 462J

7*30mmE-10
This is worked through as a necked round, but in FF&S it states
rounds must have a Lcc of 35mm + to be necked. As a straight
round the energy is Ea (alot less).

7.5*50mmE-9
energy should be 9189J ( possibly the wrong TL multiplyer)

7.6*15mmE-9
energy should be 708J

14.5*146mm
energy should be 30860J ( the crunch gun Just got less scary ;) )

And of corse my old fave
18*90mm-10 shotgun
energy should be 5955 J

could some one with time see that im right as if i am i will
have to sit down and redesign all the affected wepons , ( but
dont worry ill post them to the group if i still have the acess).

Thanks
Lawrence Bryant

If a planet didn't collapse because it didn't get infected with the Virus
is it likely that it has advanced a tech level in the past 70 years?

There is a system with tech level G at 2110 Delphi that may have survived
unscathed! This is because it is in the middle of the rift. It takes J4
or J5 ships to reach it and I *think* most ships in the Imperium don't
jump that far. There are only a couple of cruisers in the official
materials that can J5 and I think that the odds of them being "in the
neighborhood" during the initial infection phase of VIRUS are slimmer
than say the survival of the Union of Suffern.

your comments are appreciated.

According the CT supplement covering Imperial Navy ships of the Spin-
ward marches, the IN had it's own network of J-6 fleet couriers. The
5th Frontier War game also had some crurons that were J-6. I think it's
very likely that there were enough of these around that this system
would get a 'visit', eventually.

What you want are Glaser 'safety' rounds - you can forget about getting
through any armour, but if they're not wearing any, they're history.

This sort of thing should only be possible from Bridge or Engineering
w/stations. Even then, it'd be password-protected.

In which case, it's better be self-sufficient, or it'll die anyway.

Why would they want to? It's awfully unhealthy!

Okay, munchkins, here's the ship for you. The following TL-16
Mercenary Frigate should probably only be used to make your PCs
slobber a little. If you give it to them, they're likely to want to
go set themselves up as a group of TEDs on some poor unsuspecting
     world in the wilds.

The Warhorse-Class Merc Frigate was designed and built in limited
numbers to cater to the small crowd of ultra-successful mercenary
groups operating in the Domain. Sold only on a contingency basis, the
Warhorse-Class is partially subsidized by the Regency with the
agreement that the ship must operate on the frontier and in the wilds
on the Regency's borders for a limited period of time (2-4 years) and
     then reverting to private operation.

Its main purpose is to operate in extremely hostile environments. It
is armed to dispatch most of its enemies quickly and completely and is
     frequently employed as a "corsair-buster."

While the Warhorse-Class was originally intended for line expansion,
only eight were built after the Regency and private investors
determined that the market was too limited for this product. The
eight Warhorse-Class ships built during or before 1201 were titled
Warhorse, Pegasus, Kian, Unicorn, Hippocampus, Hippogriff, Griffon and
     Wyvern.
